The Chronicle of the Horse Pictures

Each March, The Chronicle of the Horse publishes an Annual Horse Show Issue, which includes the names of all participating horse show associations’ high-score champions and reserve champions, and photos of the associations’ high-score champions in the hunter, jumper, and hunt seat equitation divisions.

Year-end champions wishing to have their pictures submitted by MHJA for The Chronicle of the Horse annual winners’ edition must submit an acceptable photo with required information to the MHJA board member listed below. The deadline for submission is usually very early January. The actual deadline will be added here when we receive information from The Chronicle.

Please note: In a break from past practice, an MHJA board member will not contact champions for photos. It is the responsibility of high-score champions to submit a photo with all the required information included on the back of the photo.

Champions only.

Action shots only.

Original color prints – no copies accepted.

No e-mailed photos.

All of the following information must be on the back of the photo:

Name of the Association (Montana Hunter Jumper Association)

Horse name

Rider in the photo

Owner

Photographer’s name (even if not a professional)

NOTE: IF THE PHOTO IS FROM A PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER, YOU MUST INCLUDE WRITTEN PERMISSION FROM THAT PHOTOGRAPHER. This may take some time, so please plan ahead.
